This policy explains what personal information we collect through https://nsimbimining.com, why we collect it, and what rights you have. Questions about it can be sent to admin@nsimbimining.com.
Information Officer
The Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) requires us to name an Information Officer who is responsible for how we handle personal information.
[[TO BE CONFIRMED: Information Officer name]] is our Information Officer and can be contacted at [[TO BE CONFIRMED: Information Officer email address]].
What information we collect
When you complete the enquiry form on our contact page we collect the name, company, email address, telephone number, enquiry type and message that you provide.
When the form is submitted we also briefly record the IP address the submission came from, together with a timestamp. This is used only to limit automated abuse of the form.
This website has no user accounts, no comments, no shopping basket and no login. We do not collect payment information of any kind.
Why we collect it
We use the information you submit for one purpose: to respond to the business enquiry you have chosen to send us. The lawful basis is your own request that we contact you.
We do not use enquiry details for marketing, and we do not add enquirers to a mailing list. We have no mailing list.
Who we share it with
Enquiries are delivered to our office mailbox through a transactional email provider, [[TO BE CONFIRMED: transactional email provider name]]. The website itself is hosted by [[TO BE CONFIRMED: hosting provider name]].
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Where your information is stored
Our website and enquiry records are hosted in [[TO BE CONFIRMED: hosting region]]. Where this is outside South Africa, the transfer is a cross-border transfer for the purposes of POPIA, made so that we can operate the website and respond to you.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are retained for [[TO BE CONFIRMED: retention period for enquiry records]], after which they are deleted unless they have become part of a live commercial relationship and need to be kept for business or legal reasons.
The IP address recorded for form rate-limiting is held only for a short period and is not retained alongside your enquiry.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies of its own, and does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
[[TO BE CONFIRMED: whether website analytics will be used, and which tool]]. If analytics is added, this section will be updated to name the tool and describe exactly what it records, before it is switched on.
Third-party embeds
Our contact page can display a Google Map. It does not load automatically: nothing is requested from Google unless you choose to select “Load interactive map”. If you do, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, under Google's terms.
Your rights under POPIA
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to our processing of it. Send any such request to admin@nsimbimining.com and we will respond as required by law.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): JD House, 27 Stiemens Street, Braamfontein, Johannesburg, 2001. Email: complaints.IR@justice.gov.za. Website: https://inforegulator.org.za.
Security
The website is served over HTTPS, and access to enquiry records is limited to the members of our team who need it in order to reply to you. No payment details are collected or stored by this website.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when what we do with personal information changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. This version was last updated on 7 August 2026.
